An insight into Coaching.

Coaching is about taking your own personal development to the next level. The ultimate aim in coaching is to help the coachee reach their full potential and at a faster rate. This starts with awareness of self, moving on to developing their own talents, building self belief and overall enhancing their quality of life.

‘Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result. When you make a commitment to yourself that you are going to do something, the odds of you keeping that commitment are not overly good. However, when you make a commitment to another individual, the odds of you keeping it rise substantially.’ - Sandy Gallagher.



This is a great quote that I like to use as it helps demonstrate the importance of the coaching process and the fact that we are more likely to achieve the results we desire when we are working with a coach, who is holding us accountable. Many of life’s high achievers and the most successful people in the world all have a team of people supporting them, as well as a coach.

The benefits of coaching.

In terms of the benefits to coaching there are many and the International Coaching Federation (ICF,June 2016) demonstrate there are plenty of statistics that prove the effectiveness of coaching. For example, here are 4 benefits identified by clients from an ICF survey:
